Paid Research Internship (Nigeria)

Tury Research Institute is inviting applications from Master’s-level students in Public Health, Epidemiology (clinical and population), and related research fields in Nigeria for a structured, paid internship program. This internship is for individuals seeking practical experience in public health research, data analysis, and project-based work within a research environment.

Program Structure

· Duration: 12 weeks

· Total Commitment: 300 hours (approximately 24–25 hours per week)

· Work Schedule: Interns will commit to defined working days and hours within EST-aligned timelines

· Mode: Remote (Nigeria-based)

Scope of Work

Interns will be assigned to specific research projects based on both our active projects and the candidates' areas of interest.

Expectations

· Consistent weekly time commitment as agreed at onboarding

· Proactive communication and timely updates on assigned tasks

· Ability to work within structured timelines and meet defined deliverables

· Openness to feedback and iterative improvement

· Weekly progress reporting

Compensation

This is a 3-months paid internship. Interns will receive a total stipend of ₦150,000 per 4-week period (₦450,000 over 12 weeks), disbursed at the end of each cycle based on satisfactory progress and completion of agreed deliverables.

Important Notes

  • This is a short-term, project-based internship and not a full-time employment role
  • Interns will be expected to work remotely from Nigeria and maintain reliability in communication and availability
  • Upon selection, interns will participate in a 1-hour onboarding session to co-develop a tailored work plan aligned with program expectations
  • Deliverables and expectations will be clearly defined at the start of the program
  • Continued participation in the program is dependent on engagement, progress, and output

Who Should Apply

  • Master’s students in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related fields with foundational knowledge of research methods and data analysis
  • Candidates seeking practical experience in applied research and real-world project work

Application

Interested candidates should submit a current CV and a short cover letter (clearly outlining what you hope to gain from the internship, your ability to commit to the required time and structure, and indicate your understanding that this is a short-term, structured engagement with performance-based compensation) to hamilton@turyresearch.com
